  • When can I register for the conference?

    The conference's registration closed on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 5:00 pm EST. If you haven't had the chance to register, please get in touch with us at

  • How do I access my personalized agenda?

    To access your personalized agenda, log into your swoogo account here. A general printed agenda is also available at the Canoe Landing Recreation Center.

  • How can I download the Park People Conference App?

    Download our free event app to stay in the know on all things Park People Conference:

    1. Click here,
    2. Download the Attendee Mobile app from your application store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
    3. Enable Notifications to receive live event updates.
    4. When in the app, search for Park People Conference and select it.
    5. Login with the email and password you used to register for the event by clicking the menu bar and clicking ‘Log-in to account.’ If you forgot the password you used to register, you can easily reset your password.
  • When can I pick up my name badge?

    You must stop by the registration desk to check in and pick up your name badge to participate in the conference.

    On Wednesday, June 21, 2023:

    On Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23, you can come to pick up your name tag in the morning at the Canoe Landing Recreation Center foyer.

  • Is transportation provided during the conference for the tours and the reception venues?

    Transportation is provided for the attendees during the whole conference to attend the tours and the receptions (including to the Toronto Islands). Information regarding how and where to go will be delivered via the Swoogo app and at the help desk in the conference venue.

  • Are food and beverages available during the conference?

    Breakfast will be served on Thursday and Friday from 8:00 am until 9:00 am. Lunch will be served at 12:15 pm on Thursday. Breaks offering coffee and refreshments will occur at 10:45 am on Thursday and Friday. All food and beverage services will take place in The Bentway Studio. Food will also be provided during the receptions (Wednesday and Thursday evenings).

  • Will my dietary restrictions be accommodated?

    All dietary restrictions submitted through our registration process have been shared with our catering team. We endeavour to ensure every guest has access to food and beverage that is in accordance with their needs. If you have any questions or concerns while you’re onsite, just ask a member of our team!

  • What happens if it rains during the conference?

    The conference will happen rain or shine. If it rains, we kindly ask attendees to dress accordingly for the tours you selected and bring a raincoat and/or an umbrella.

  • How can I get to Canoe Landing Recreation Center by transit?

    The Canoe Landing Recreation Center is accessible by transit. The closest subway station is Union Station. You can also take a street car (509, 510 or 511) to access the recreation center. Finally, BikeShare TO stations are available around the recreation center.

  • Will interpretation be available?

    French simultaneous interpretation will be available for curated sessions on Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23. Please visit our agenda online or click here to know which sessions will be available with simultaneous French interpretation.

  • Will childcare be available, or can I bring my children during the conference?

    Childcare will not be available during the conference, and we kindly ask that you do not bring your children during the conference for safety reasons.

  • Is parking available at Canoe Landing Recreation Center?

  • What should I bring with me during the conference?

    Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather, as the outdoor tours will happen rain or shine. Please pack your water bottle and coffee traveller mug for refilling and reusing throughout the conference. By doing so, we will be able to limit our waste further.

  • What if I have questions during the conference?

  • What if I have questions about accessibility?

    We have endeavoured to ensure every one of our guests can have the most effective and comfortable experience at the event. If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessibility, please contact our support team at or visit one of our team members at the onsite help desk.

  • What are the exact locations of the Wednesday and Thursday evening receptions?

    The Wednesday reception will occur at the Toronto Island BBQ & Beer company starting at 6:00 pm. Ferry tickets to the Toronto Islands will be provided. The Thursday reception will occur at The Bentway Studio starting at 6:00 pm.
